Common Questions
System & Features
What does the orange "ZZZ" badge mean?
This is the Pause State. When you use the "Pause 5m"
button in the popup, the extension temporarily deactivates all
redirection rules. This allows you to browse without interference for
a set duration. The extension will automatically resume and the badge
will disappear once the timer expires.
My rule isn't working on sites like YouTube or GitHub. Why?
Many modern websites are
Single Page Applications (SPAs). They change the URL
using internal scripts rather than a standard page reload. To catch
these events, edit your rule and enable
History State. This activates specialized logic
designed to intercept dynamic navigation transitions.
How does the redirection engine work?
RedirectorPro utilizes the
Declarative Net Request (DNR) API. This modern
standard allows the browser to process your rules at the network layer
for maximum performance. For complex rules requiring transformations
like URL Encoding, the extension utilizes a secondary logic engine to
ensure accuracy.
Data & Privacy
Is my browsing activity monitored?
RedirectorPro processes URL data to provide the core redirection
service. Any data processed is utilized to ensure rule accuracy,
improve system performance, and maintain the security of the
extension. For detailed information, please review our
Privacy Policy.
Why does the extension need permission for "All Websites"?
This technical permission is required because RedirectorPro allows you
to create custom rules for any domain on the web. Without this, the
browser would block the extension from detecting and applying
redirects on the sites you choose to manage.
Support & Migration
Can I migrate rules from other extensions?
Yes. RedirectorPro includes a robust Import feature
that supports rule sets in .json format. Our system is
specifically designed to handle and sanitize legacy formats from older
rule-based redirectors.
Where do I report a bug?
Please use the Contact page to submit technical
reports. When reporting an issue, please include your browser version
and the specific rule pattern that is causing the fault.
